What is tree care? Tree care means looking after your trees so that they are kept in the best condition and are working for you and your space how you want them to. Tree care involves thinning out of trees, shaping trees, and removed diseased parts of trees. Thinning out trees This is carried out to allow more light to penetrate through the trees. This is useful if you have a garden that has a lot of trees and you want to be able to have more natural light. Thinning out trees also means that the air flows better so there are fewer fungal infections. Shaping trees This is done for purely cosmetic reasons to make your garden a beautiful space. Whatever your design ideas, we can discuss them with you. We can even shape ornamental plants and bushes to form special designs. Other tree care We can remove any dead or diseased branches or tree growth. We also care for trees that might be causing a danger, for example, if a tree has a branch that is hanging over a structure or that looks unsafe in any way. Other terms you might see or hear with regards to tree care: •Crown lift – this means the removal of branches below the main part of the tree. Effectively, the tree trunk will look longer as the lower branches are removed. •Crown reduction – this means the removal of some of the bulk from the extremities of the tree. This will reduce the tree’s height and width and make it a uniform shape. •Crown thinning – this won’t alter the overall size of the tree but will reduce its branch density. With crown thinning, you can expect to see more light and have more air flow. Whatever your tree care needs, contact us now to discuss your requirements.
